SALt with the Hanunuo Mangyan Tribe

SALt together with the volunteers (Isay Atienza, Jason Purino, and Alexis Lumbera) and delegates of the Hanunuo Mangyan tribe — Ka Tonio Uybad (Mangyan contact), Ka Aniw Lubag (President of the Pinagkausahan Hanunuo sa Daga Ginurang – PHADAG) and the members in their humble, furnitureless office located at Brgy. San Roque, Sitio Banti, Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro. We have interviewed them about their electricity concern and they love our lamp idea and expressed their interest and excitement as possibly the initial beneficiaries of our product.

Also, they are currently in need of the following for their office:

– P5,000 cash (installation payment for electricity)
– English dictionaries
– College level books
– Rubber slippers
– 1 PC and a printer
– Office supplies
– Filing cabinets
– Tables and chairs

For inquiries, you may contact us via our page. Thank you!
